Delhi Excise Policy Case after Arvind Kerjiwal Arresting AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar and others summoned by ED for questioning

Delhi Excise Policy Case: Aam Aadmi Party’s troubles seem to be increasing due to the alleged scam in Delhi’s excise policy. After the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, ED has now started the work of investigating the Goa link. The investigating agency has now sent summons to Aam Aadmi Party’s Goa Chief Amit Palekar to come to the ED office. Party’s Goa Chief Amit Palekar has been issued a summons to appear before the ED office in Panaji on Thursday (28 March).

ED had arrested CM Arvind Kejriwal on March 21 in the Excise Policy case, after which he is still in ED custody. In fact, on March 22, the Enforcement Directorate had claimed that a money trail had been detected in which an alleged bribe of Rs 100 crore was given to the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.

Allegation of taking bribe of Rs 100 crore in excise policy case

Aam Aadmi Party had used this alleged bribe money in Punjab and Goa assembly elections. ED had also argued in the court that not only a bribe of Rs 100 crore was taken in the alleged scam, but commission was also taken in the profits earned by the bribe givers, which is more than Rs 600 crore. A few days after ED’s claims, now Aam Aadmi Party’s Goa Chief is also being summoned in this case.

Amit Palekar said- ED called for inquiry

According to the report of The Indian Express, Aam Aadmi Party’s Goa President Amit Palekar has confirmed that he has been called by the ED to its Panaji office on Thursday morning for questioning in the Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) case, but he denied this. Nothing much has been said in the matter. Palekar was also the CM candidate of Aam Aadmi Party in the Goa Assembly elections.

ED has sent summons to 3 more people

Quoting the report, sources say that ED has also issued summons to 3 more people from Goa to join the investigation. Another Aam Aadmi Party leader, a former BJP leader and a Bhandari community leader have also been called for questioning on Thursday. It is said that the Aam Aadmi Party leader who has been summoned had also contested the assembly elections from North Goa seat in 2022.
