AIIMS is teaching this method to experts from 11 countries. In fact, the Department of Physiology of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS), Delhi has organized Tips 2022 for the countries of the South-East Asia region in the World Health Organisation.

In these countries, delegations of experts from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Korea Democratic People’s Republic, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Timor-Leste country are being given information about various diseases related to the brain. Also, its treatment is being told. The senior doctor of the department said that studies on various subjects are going on in the department’s lab. The method of treatment is being prepared by sharing these studies with the team.

Study on Parkinson’s patients: Clinical trials are being done in the department for the treatment of Parkinson’s patients. The doctors of the department told that in this trial lasting for three months, probiotics are being given to Parkinson’s patients in the lab. It is being seen what effect this has on the patient. If this trial is successful, it will be used for treatment. Explain that probiotics are a type of food that contains live bacteria or micro-organisms.

Parkinson’s slows down the speed of brain signals

AIIMS senior Dr. Kanwal Preet Kochhar, along with Dr. Laxman Patil, conducted a study on the effect of Parkinson’s on the brain. It was found that in a normal person, the exchange of information from body parts to the brain takes place at a speed of 1000 to 1500 milliseconds, while this speed decreases significantly in Parkinson’s patients. Due to this the body is not able to react immediately. Explain that the body of Parkinson’s patients becomes stiff. Apart from this, the patient even loses balance.
