Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the setting up of three designated-special courts at the Rouse Avenue Court Complex. These courts will deal with cases against MPs and MLAs under the Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act 2005 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act 2012.
There are already eight courts notified to deal with cases relating to crimes against children, violation of child rights and trial under the POCSO Act. After three additional courts, the number will increase to 11.
