A fire broke out in a moving bus in Delhi’s South Ex area on Sunday night. The fire started in the engine of the bus. Two fire engines reached the spot and doused the fire. As soon as the fire broke out, the driver showed understanding and stopped the bus on the side and got the passengers down immediately. There were more than 15 passengers in the bus at the time of the incident. South District DCP Chandan Chowdhary said that there was no news of any casualty in the incident of fire in the bus. Kotla Mubarakpur police station of the district is probing the matter.
According to South District Police officials, the DCP bus of route 433 was going towards Tughlakabad depot. As soon as the bus reached South Ex at around 8.15 pm, the engine of the bus caught fire. The driver got down the passengers and informed the fire department and the police. Two fire engines reached the spot and doused the fire within a short time. Initial investigation revealed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the wiring. Mechanical examination of the bus is being done to ascertain the cause of the fire.
