Blinkit’s delivery boy Karan (22) was killed by 10-12 teenagers and other youths for protesting in front of the house in Anand Parbat area of central Delhi, for protesting against drugs and abusing. Karan was hit eight times. At the same time, the accused also made a fatal attack on the family members who came to intervene. Uncle Deepak (40), cousin Pravesh (22) and aunt Meenu (43) were also seriously injured in the attack.
The injured were first taken to the nearby Sardar Patel Hospital, from where they were shifted to RML Hospital. All were discharged after first aid. Police have registered a case under murder, culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other sections and arrested five accused including two brothers, while a juvenile (17) has been detained.
The family alleges that most of the accused are minors who have no fear of the police at all. After Friday’s fight, the family was constantly seeking help from the police, but the police did not listen and the family was attacked. The angry family also gheraoed the Anand Parvat police station on Sunday afternoon. Later, the senior police officers sent them to the family after persuasion.
According to the police, Karan lived with his family at Gali No. 21, Nehru Nagar, Prem Nagar. Apart from father Shyamlal Parihar, there is mother Manju and younger sister Khushi in the family. Uncles Madanlal, Khemchand and Deepak also live on different floors in the house. Uncle Khemchand told that there is a Hanuman temple in front of the house. There is a platform built outside a shop near the temple. Apart from getting intoxicated, eight-ten street boys sit here and abuse till late night. Apart from this, sprinkling is also done on girls.
Scolded the boys and reached after hatching a conspiracy
On Friday, Karan’s mother Manju scolded the boys. All the boys got angry on this matter and started threatening to see besides abusing. The family complained about this by calling PCR, but the police vehicle did not reach. The family reached the police station and filed a complaint. It is alleged that on Saturday late night, the accused hatched a conspiracy and attacked the family with knives, sticks, sticks and iron rods.
During the attack, the accused stabbed Karan at about eight places including chest, neck, stomach. Others were hit with a stick and others with a knife. The family took Karan to BLK Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The families of the rest of the injured were discharged after treatment.
Some women were also involved in the attack.
The police handed over Karan’s body to the family after post-mortem on Sunday. Police is trying to identify the rest of the accused with the help of CCTV installed nearby. The victim’s family alleges that some women were also involved in the attack. Police is investigating it.

The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak (22) and Bhai Pintu (18), Shivam (22), Sonu (30) and Jaswinder (19), while a 17-year-old minor was also taken into custody. Police is looking for other accused teenagers.
On the statement of the injured Pravesh, investigation is being done by registering a case of murder and culpable homicide. Five accused have been arrested. Efforts are being made to identify the rest of the accused and reach them.
