There is a hope that NCR will get relief from the problem of traffic jam. Many schemes of the central government are running in NCR, which will help people overcome traffic jam. These include Dwarka Expressway, Urban Extension-2, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Connector and Katra Expressway. Along with this, an elevated road has been planned.

The elevated road will run above the current road and light vehicles will be able to travel on this elevated road. There is also a plan to run pod taxis. Actually, this hope has arisen among the people of NCR when East Delhi MP Harsh Malhotra has been made Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Nitin Gadkari had prepared the plan during his last tenure

People are hopeful that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s ambitious plan will be accelerated by his colleague Harsh Malhotra as Union Minister of State. At present, a large number of people travel from Dhaula Kuan to Manesar and Gurugram. Due to this, people have to suffer by getting stuck in traffic jams for hours. Keeping this in mind, Nitin Gadkari prepared a plan in his last tenure so that people can get rid of traffic jams.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will gain speed

These mainly include five projects. The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will start from Akshardham and will go to Dehradun via Signature Bridge, Geeta Colony and Baghpat. Its opening will reduce the pressure on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Harsh will be able to assist in giving impetus to this project as well. Similarly, the Dwarka Expressway is a 29 km long eight-lane expressway.

Urban Extension Road-2 Scheme

The construction work of the 10-km stretch in Delhi is progressing at a fast pace. With its opening, vehicles will get on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway and go straight out of Delhi. Under the Urban Extension Road-2 scheme, it will go from Faridabad to Singhu Border. Its length is 74 km. Apart from this, there is a Katra Expressway scheme. The pressure of about 1.5 lakh vehicles per day on the Delhi-Amritsar National Highway will be reduced. The expressway connector which will connect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Delhi. It is 60 km long. Vehicles will get on this connector near the Ashram and will reach the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway directly.

The driverless pod taxi scheme will also gain momentum

The central government also has a plan to run driverless pod taxis. In the last term, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had also formally announced this. Driverless taxis will run between Lal Kuan and Manesar. This proposed track of about 13 kilometers will be from Delhi, Gurugram border to Badshahpur Mode Sohna Road.

It is estimated that about 850 crores will be spent on this. Tenders were also received for the construction of the public transport project Metroneo. This project will connect the 70 km route between Dhaula Kuan and Manesar in Haryana. This will ease traffic in NCR. Metroneo is a driverless transport system that runs on a ropeway. Along with this, there is also a plan to run electric buses on the Delhi-Jaipur route.
