A group of nine boys looted several people at one go in North Delhi’s Timarpur area to celebrate a friend’s brother’s birthday party. While solving the mystery of these incidents, the police arrested eight including a national level kick volleyball player. These include three minor boys. The arrested accused have been identified as kick volleyball player Ayush, his friend Saurabh, Manish Pal, Shiv Prakash and Roshan. All the boys are residents of Wazirpur area. Apart from three bikes used in the incident, the police have also recovered three mobile phones and other items from them. The police is on the lookout for Aryan, another accused in the case.
North District Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Singh Kalsi said that on the night of March 11, mobile phones of many people were reported looted in Timarpur area. Jithin Chandran, a complainant, told that he is a graduation student in DU. Late in the night around 2.45 am, he was roaming on Lucknow road on Yulu e-cycle with two of his female friends. Meanwhile, nine boys came there riding on three bikes. These people misbehaved with him and looted his mobile. Meanwhile Pradeep and Ram Avtar also came there making noise. These people told that the bike riders also looted their mobiles. Seeing the crowd gathering, the accused fled from there.
