Coordination is being made between the mayor and the officers of the corporation to start the work

It is possible to have an early meeting of the mayor with all the department heads of the corporation. According to the information received from the sources, talks were held in this regard between Mayor Shaili Oberoi and Corporation Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti on Wednesday. After this it has been decided that soon the mayor will publicly hold a meeting with all the officers.
Since the merger of the three municipal corporations, the MCD is being run by officers only. Special Officer Ashwani Kumar was appointed to fulfill the responsibilities of the Mayor. The corporation ran under his leadership for several months. Meanwhile, last year on December 5, the corporation elections were held. But on February 22, about two and a half months after the elections, Delhi got its new mayor. But due to political reasons, the standing committee, the strongest part of the MCD, has not been formed yet. In such a situation, a big crisis has arisen in front of the corporation as to how it will work. The constitution of the corporation is incomplete without a standing committee. The issue of election of six members of the Standing Committee is pending before the Delhi High Court. According to senior officials of the corporation, an agreement has been made between the mayor and the corporation commissioner to start the work afresh in such a situation. For this, preparations are being made to organize a public meeting soon.
