New Delhi. Three arms smugglers from Dholpur, Rajasthan were engaged in illegal arms smuggling. Used to supply illegal weapons from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. They have supplied 500 more illegal weapons in the last three years. Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested three members of this illegal arms gang, Prashant Meena, Kamal Meena and Gagan Saraswat. 15 pistols of good quality have been recovered from their possession.

Special Police Commissioner of Special Cell HGS Dhaliwal said that Inspector Ranjit Singh had received information on July 14 that two illegal arms smugglers Prashant Meena and Kamal Meena had brought a consignment of illegal arms from Madhya Pradesh, they would bring this consignment to Delhi. It was also learned that they would deliver arms consignment near Vayu Sena Vihar on MB Road. Under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh, the team of Inspector Ranjeet and Inspector Satwinder laid siege and arrested Prashant Meena and Kamal Meena, residents of Dhaulpur and Gagan Saraswat, residents of Mathura, UP.

During interrogation, it was revealed that they used to bring pistols from Khargone, Madhya Pradesh and supply them to criminals in Delhi/NCR, UP, Punjab and Rajasthan. Five cases are already registered against Prashant Meena. Four cases of arms smuggling and one case of attempt to murder are involved in UP and Rajasthan. Kamal Meena has been suspectedly involved in two cases under the NDPS Act in Rajasthan. The accused told that he used to bring semi-automatic pistol for Rs 8000 and single shot pistol for Rs 2500 and sell it for Rs 25 to 30 thousand.
