Nursery admission race will start from today
Parents can apply till December 23, admission will be decided on the basis of standards like distance and single parent

The race for admission in private schools of the capital for nursery, KG and first class is starting from Thursday. Children will get admission in about 1700 schools in Delhi. To apply, parents can submit the form till December 23. At the same time, one thousand schools of Delhi have issued criteria for admission on the Directorate of Education and on their website.
This time the process for nursery admission is starting about 15 days in advance. At the same time, guidelines have been issued by the Directorate of Education for the general category. There are about 75 per cent seats in this category. In the circular issued by Education Director Himanshu Gupta, it was said that private schools can prepare their own standards for admission. Schools were asked to prepare transparent, clear, rational, well-defined and non-discriminatory standards. However, the standards had not been uploaded on the website by any of the schools till Tuesday evening. Like every time, the admission will be based on the system of 100 marks.
Distance and single parent included in standards
Admissions include criteria such as siblings, neighborhoods, single parents, and alumni. Whereas, the maximum points are for distance. In such a situation, parents are advised to apply in as many schools as possible in their vicinity. At the same time, apart from this, different marks have been fixed in the rest of the standards. The thing to note here is that if the lottery is drawn, then the schools will have to draw in the presence of the parents. At the same time, the parents will also have to be informed at least two days before the lottery is drawn. Along with this, videography of the lottery process is also necessary.

Last date for form submission – 23 December
– List of those who applied on the website – 06 January
List of all children with marks will be released- January 13
Release of first list of selected children (with waiting list) – January 20
The problem of the parents regarding the list will be resolved from January 21 to January 30.
Second list (with waiting list) will be released on February 06
Solution to the problem of the parents regarding the list from 8th to 14th February. Whereas, if there is any other list, it will be released on March 1.
Admission process will end by March 17
Admission Guidelines-
– Schools will charge only Rs 25 as form
It is not mandatory for the parents to buy the prospectus of the school.
Schools cannot collect capitation fees or donations from parents.

– Domicile certificate in the name of the child and guardian
Voter ID card of the guardian
Electricity, telephone or water bill and passport of the child’s name
Aadhaar card in the name of mother or father

Nursery – 3 to 4 years
KG – 4 to 5 years
First- five to six years
