New Delhi. Delhi University is planning to clear the traffic problem on the roads passing through the campus. In this regard, a project to build an elevated road in the campus will be sent to the government by the administration. At the same time, the administration is also working on arranging better food stalls in the campus for the students. Under this, good food courts will be made. Soon a committee will also be constituted for this. As an initiative of the North District Police and Delhi University, a Joint Security Meditation Camp was organized on Wednesday. Various issues related to the university and students were discussed in this camp organized at Geos Mess, Civil Lines. On this occasion, DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Singh said that the university administration is fully prepared for the assistance required by the police department from the university.
DU officials in the camp drew the attention of the police on several issues. At the same time, the police administration has also made available information about many schemes including many solutions. The Vice-Chancellor said that the fear of the society, family and teachers has reduced a lot among the children, but the fear of the police is still there. The challenges of police and universities are going to increase in the next 10-15 years. In such a situation, it is necessary that the teachers should give good education to the students so that their behavior and conduct is also good.
Giving information on security related issues, North District Police DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi said that under the Safe City Project, 46 CCTV cameras have been installed in the Delhi University campus. He also discussed in detail about the protest sites in the university. Considering the various issues raised by the Heads of Departments and Principals of the colleges, the DCP informed that test kits are being procured for drug cases. If the college informs about such cases, the police will investigate the accused on the spot and take action.
