AIIMS will now recruit nursing staff twice a year. Nursing students will get relief from this decision. At the same time, the patients coming to the hospital for treatment will get better facilities.
A meeting was held in the Ministry of Health on Thursday to review the status of filling of sanctioned faculty and non-faculty posts in AIIMS and related institutions across the country. In this, the AIIMS director said that from the financial year 2023-24, the recruitment process for the nursing staff will be conducted twice a year from AIIMS through the NORCET exam.
For this all new AIIMS and INIs have been asked to share their vacancies and requirement of nursing staff with AIIMS immediately. Apart from this, the officials in the meeting asked to fill the vacancies in mission mode. Information regarding recruitment and promotion was sought in the meeting. Also, told that the nursing vacancies can be filled by August-September.
PSU will help in equipment purchase
Procurement Support Agency (PSU) will help in procurement of medical equipment in AIIMS. AIIMS director had decided to take the participation of government agencies and PSUs in view of the delay in their procurement. After the decision of the AIIMS director, the PSU has decided to help.
In this regard, AIIMS spokesperson Dr. Reema Dada says that PSU AIIMS is going to help Delhi in procurement. This speedy processing will ensure best specifications and best price fixation. Be aware that delays in equipment procurement often affect patient care. Patients have to wait for a long time. After this decision it will accelerate.
