The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested two criminals involved in the business of counterfeit notes. The arrested accused have been identified as Ram Pravesh (48) and Ali Asgar (48), residents of Bihar. The accused were smuggling fake notes printed in Pakistan into India via Nepal and Bangladesh border. Police have recovered a total of 582 (2.91 lakh) notes of Rs 500 and five mobile phones from the accused. Gang leader Asif, in connivance with someone named Ansari, was importing notes from Pakistan. After this, these notes were sent to other parts of the country besides Delhi-NCR.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Manoj C of the Special Cell said that the team of Inspector Manohar Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Sandeep Yadav and others were engaged in gathering information about the criminals dealing in fake notes for a long time. Meanwhile, the team got the news that fake notes are coming to Delhi from Nepal via Raxaul in Bihar. After gathering more information about the criminals, the team came to know that a criminal is going to come to Anand Vihar area of ​​Delhi with fake notes.

Immediately after the information, a team was formed. The team laid a trap near Anand Vihar Foot Over Bridge. Meanwhile, Ram Pravesh reached there with fake notes. The team caught the accused. A total of 578 notes were recovered from him. During interrogation, Ram Pravesh told that he works as a plumber contractor in Delhi-NCR. Due to poor business, he started doing fake currency business with a youth named Ali Asgar.

After gathering information from Ram Pravesh, a team was sent to Muzaffarpur in Bihar. The accused was nabbed from there. Four 500 rupee notes were recovered from him. Ali Asgar told that the leader of the gang is Asif, he along with Ansari orders fake notes from Pakistan. Notes come to India from Nepal and Bangladesh border. Asif is absconding at the moment, Special Cell has arrested him twice before. Two cases of Special Cell and one case in Sansad Marg police station are registered against him. Ram Pravesh was doing the business of fake notes for the last three years and Ali Asgar for the last 19 years. Police is investigating the matter by interrogating both of them.
