The case of alleged snooping on BJP leaders and some other dignitaries by the Delhi government is not going to die down. The BJP is adopting a strategy to cash in on this issue fiercely. Even after handing over the matter to the CBI, the BJP is taking an aggressive stand on it. Even on Thursday, he protested fiercely against Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi government and demanded his arrest.
In fact, before the municipal elections, the BJP fiercely laid siege to the Aam Aadmi Party. Even during the investigation in the liquor scam, he continued to attack Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. In the municipal elections that followed, the BJP did not succeed in coming to power for the fourth time, but even after 15 years of anti-incumbency, it managed to win a respectable 104 seats in the 250-seat house. BJP leaders believe that this success has been achieved only because of Kejriwal being a constant attacker.
This is the reason why now BJP is not ready to give exemption to Kejriwal in any matter. He is not ready to give Kejriwal an easy way out in any matter. This is also believed to be a major reason for the clash between the two parties in the Municipal Corporation. Since the Lok Sabha elections are to be held only after a year and after a year there will be a fight for power in Delhi, the party wants to maintain its ‘momentum’ gained in the municipal elections.
Resign Kejriwal
Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva said that in 2015, the people had given huge political power to the Aam Aadmi Party. He had faith that the government would work for his interests. But after the espionage scandal came to light, it has become clear that Kejriwal used all his power only to eliminate his political opponents. He said that after this incident came to the fore, the reality of Kejriwal has come in front of the public. He also demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister.
Sachdeva said that when Kejriwal came to power in 2015, the first thing he did was to stop the media from entering the secretariat. After this, the voices of the officers and leaders of the opposition were suppressed. For this, by setting up a special unit, he targeted only the critics of the government and tried to suppress them. He said that this is not the work of a Chief Minister and for this he should resign.
Whole network set up for espionage
BJP leader Vijender Gupta alleged that the Kejriwal government’s purchase of cameras, espionage equipment and then creating a department to investigate opposition leaders proved that Kejriwal was setting up an espionage system with public money and it was being done in public interest. Were telling the work done for. But now its truth has come to the fore. He said that many AAP leaders may come under the scanner after this matter comes to the fore.
