A major fire broke out on Wednesday morning at the godown of Jaipur Golden Transport near Roshanara Road in Sabzi Mandi area. Within no time, the smoke spread in the entire area. After getting information about the incident, 40 vehicles of the fire department reached the spot.
Meanwhile, while extinguishing the fire, the three-storey building collapsed. Three firefighters were slightly injured in the accident. The godown contained clothes and other items apart from chemicals. There is a possibility of chemical fire after short circuit.
According to the police, the warehouse of Jaipur Golden Transport is spread over two thousand yards in the residential area. All types of goods are kept in the warehouse for transport. Suddenly a fire broke out in the godown located on the ground floor at around 11:40 am on Wednesday. The fire spread so quickly that it soon engulfed the upper floors. As soon as the information was received, 12 vehicles of the fire department reached the spot.
Stopping the vehicles on the main road, the firemen took the pipes from there to the premises. Seeing the magnitude of the fire, 12 more vehicles were called. Firefighters were extinguishing the fire on the first floor. Meanwhile, the three-storey building collapsed. Due to this, the firemen who were extinguishing the fire ran away after saving their lives. During this three personnel were injured. Fire officials told that goods worth lakhs have been burnt. The work of extinguishing the fire is going on. 16 more vehicles have been called.

Firefighters said they were dousing the fire on the first floor. During this the building started shaking. When people started making noise about the building collapsing, they left the pipe there and ran away. A big accident could have happened if there was some delay. As soon as they came out, the upper part of the building fell down heavily. During this, three personnel were slightly injured.
People scared of cracks in the walls of nearby houses
People living in the area told that transport work is done in the residential area. There has been a fire here many times before. Chemicals were kept in the warehouse where the fire broke out, so the fire spread rapidly and took a huge form in no time. People told that the company has an office in Bawana as well, while there is a warehouse here. Other businessmen have removed the warehouse from here, but the work of Jaipur Golden Transport was going on. Local resident Mahendra Kumar said that after the fire broke out in the godown, there were cracks in the walls of some houses nearby. People are very scared of this.
