Gauhar/Delhi: If you have been to Delhi University, then you must have come across its North Campus also. Outside this campus is the most favorite eating point of children, whose name is Tom Uncle Maggie Point. Sandeep, the owner of this Maggi point, told that this stall was started in 1978. He told that till date not a single rupee has been spent for the publicity of this point, neither pamphlets have been distributed nor advertisements have been taken out, only because of the taste, people from TV and newspapers come here.

How did Tom Uncle Maggie Point get its name?
Talking to Local 18, the owner of this Maggi Point said that this stall was started by my father late from Saharanpur in 1978. Ramesh Kataria, started in front of Khalsa College. He told that his nickname was Titu, which later became famous as Tom Uncle. This name was given to him by the students of Khalsa College. He told that initially he used to sell things like Shikanji, Jal-Jeera and Lime Soda at this shop, the sale of cold drinks reduced with the change in weather, hence he started doing food business also.

More than 50 types of Maggi
The operator of Maggi Point told that about 54 types of Maggi are made at this stall. Cheese, butter, vegetable, white sauce, red sauce, cheese corn, paneer masala Maggi are included in these. He told that All in One Maggi is liked the most. Vegetables, cheese, butter, cheese, oregano, all things are added to it. After this, the special masala made by us enhances the taste of Maggi even more.

how to reach here
To eat Maggi here, you will have to get down at GTB Nagar metro station from the yellow line of the metro. As soon as you exit Gate No. 4, take any rickshaw and reach Kamla Nagar near Morris Chowk. Tom Uncle’s Maggi Point will be visible nearby. This point is open seven days a week. You can come here anytime from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. This point opens only after 4:00 pm on Sundays.
