The National Investigation Agency has arrested two people linked to Prayagraj in a case related to supply of arms, ammunition to the cadres of the banned CPI (Maoist). These include Sudhir Tripathi and Suraj Nishad.
With the arrest of both, the total number of accused arrested in this case has increased to six. The four accused in Chhattisgarh were arrested in January 2023, when arms and ammunition were also seized by the local police, which had originally registered a case under various sections of the Arms Act, UA(P)A and IPC .
