Delhi: Water will not come in these areas including New Delhi for two days, leakage in Jeetgarh UGR main line – Leakage in Rising Main Line of Jeetgarh Ugr Coming Out of Chandrawal Water Purifier Plant

Along with a crack in the Munak canal located in Sonipat, there has been leakage in the rising main line of Jeetgarh UGR originating from the Chandrawal water purifier plant. Due to these two reasons, drinking water crisis has arisen in almost half of Delhi including New Delhi in the scorching heat. Repair of the Chandrawal plant’s pipeline will begin on Friday and the line is likely to be repaired by Saturday.

According to the Delhi Jal Board, there will be no water supply from the Chandrawal plant on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Hence New Delhi, Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital and surrounding areas, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar and surrounding areas, Karol Bagh, Paharganj, Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar, Baljit Nagar, Prem Nagar, Indrapuri and surrounding areas, Cantonment There will be drinking water crisis in the area and South Delhi area. Jal Board has appealed to the residents of the area to store water and use less water. Apart from this, in case of emergency, a request has been made to call a water tanker.

On the other hand, the cracks in the carrier lined channel of Munak canal near Badwasni village in Sonipat, Haryana have not been repaired. Because of this, there has been a problem of raw water in drinking water supply plants in about 30 percent of Delhi and the production of water in them has been affected.
