The rain has started again in NCR today. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for rain today as well. The sky is overcast with light clouds. It is also raining lightly. Due to this, the maximum temperature can be recorded at 34 and the minimum temperature at 26 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday people woke up to heavy rain in the capital. This has made the weather pleasant. People have got relief from the humid heat. Heavy rain was recorded in many areas while light to moderate rain was recorded in some areas. The roads and streets remained wet throughout the day due to the rain.
About 36 mm of rain was recorded in Delhi till 5:30 pm. The maximum rainfall was recorded in Narela and DU centre. In such a situation, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded one degree Celsius below normal and the minimum temperature was recorded three degrees below normal. At the same time, a drop of three degrees Celsius has been seen in one day as compared to Tuesday.
People have got relief from the heat due to the rain that started on Wednesday morning. The clouds in the sky kept raining sometimes fast and sometimes slow. Along with this, the wind also kept blowing. The rain continued till noon. After this, humid heat was felt, but the mood of the weather changed due to the wind in the evening. There was light rain in some areas in the evening as well. Due to this, a decrease in temperature was seen. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius below normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees Celsius below normal. On the other hand, till 5:30 in the evening, 34 mm of rain was recorded in Narela, 29 in DU, 27 in Safdarjung, 26.6 in Ridge, 24.2 in Lodhi Road, 17.8 in Palam, 14.2 in Aya Nagar, 9.5 in Pitampura, 7 mm in Pusa.
Temperatures reached 33 degrees Celsius in Lodhi Road
According to the weather department, Lodhi Road area was the hottest. The maximum temperature recorded here was 33.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas, the maximum temperature recorded was 33.6 degrees Celsius in Ridge, 32.8 degrees Celsius in Aya Nagar and 32.5 degrees Celsius in Palam. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 20.4 degrees Celsius in Ridge.
Climate in satisfactory range
After the rain in the capital, the climate remains in the satisfactory category. On Wednesday the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 97, which is in the satisfactory category. In most areas the AQI was recorded above 100. Delhi’s air remained in the satisfactory category overall. According to the CPCB, Noida recorded the lowest Air Quality Index in NCR. The AQI here was 76, which is in the satisfactory category. 88 AQI was recorded in Gurugram, 87 in Ghaziabad, 118 in Faridabad and 134 in Greater Noida.
