A young man was brutally beaten to death by a dozen assailants on Saturday night in Uttam Nagar area. The deceased has been identified as Karan (26). The attackers beat him with sticks. The family alleges that after the attack, the accused did inhuman acts by pouring chilli powder on his wounds. In injured condition, the young man was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to the police, ten criminal cases were registered against the deceased and he was a declared scoundrel of Uttam Nagar police station. The family members have accused a woman of getting attacked. Police have registered the case and arrested three accused including a minor.
The police officer said that on Saturday night the police received information about a fatal attack on a young man. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. By then his family members had taken the injured Karan to Safdarjung Hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. The police reached the hospital, took possession of Karan’s body and sent it for post-mortem. Karan’s brother Nishant told that his family is originally from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh. His brother had ten criminal cases registered against him. A case was heard in the court on Saturday. He had come from Chhatarpur to attend the hearing. From there he came to his home. He was sitting outside the house at night. Meanwhile, about a dozen people approached him with sticks. The attackers started beating Karan with sticks.
After beating him badly, the attackers poured chilli powder on his wounds and did inhuman acts with him. After committing the incident, everyone fled from there. Investigation revealed that the deceased had committed theft in the house of a woman in the area a few months ago. The family members alleged that the woman had brought the attackers with her. It was he who got Karan attacked. Police officer says that three accused including a minor involved in this case have been arrested.
