Generally, the prices of fruits increase during such festivals, but this time there has been no change in the prices of fruits in the markets of Buxar. Fruit seller Mumtaz told Local 18 that this is the first year that the prices of fruits have not increased during Navratri. Usually, during Navratri, the prices of fruits increase by 50 to 100 percent, but this year the prices of fruits are stable.

Mumtaz told that sufficient quantity of fruits are coming in the market. Only banana and apple have increased by Rs 10. Where earlier bananas were available at Rs 30 to Rs 50 a dozen, now they are available at Rs 40 to Rs 60 a dozen. Earlier the price of apple was Rs 80 to Rs 120 per kg. Now it is between Rs 80 to Rs 130.

High demand for these fruits
He further said that devotees are in maximum demand for apple and banana during Navratri. Due to this, slight changes can be seen in the price. Apart from apple and banana, currently papaya is available in the market at Rs 30 to 50 per kg, water chestnut at Rs 50, orange at Rs 70, peach at Rs 70 to 90, seasonal fruits at Rs 50 to 70, pomegranate at Rs 150 to 250 per kg.
