How can one prevent dengue?
To prevent dengue, one should not allow water to accumulate around one’s house. To prevent mosquitoes from breeding during the monsoon season, water should be prevented from stagnating anywhere in the house. Water should be removed from coolers, pots, tires and other places where water is accumulated. If water is to be kept then it should be changed every day. Pesticides should be sprinkled on the balcony, courtyard, and garden of the house as well as in the surrounding drains.

Wear full sleeve clothes and full pants etc. while going out of the house. By placing nets on windows and doors, mosquitoes will not be able to come inside the house. Use mosquito net while sleeping at night and if necessary, use mosquito repellent. Before sending children out to play, make them wear body covering clothes and apply mosquito repellent cream.
