Akhilesh Prajapati (40) son Prahlad, a resident of Bardiha Ali of Pakdi Bazar of Surauli police station area, jumped into the river on Wednesday late evening from Kaparwar Ugrasen Setu of Barhaj area in Deoria district. He had come to Kaparwar with a fellow resident of the village. On getting the information, the police also reached the spot.
Akhilesh Prajapati had left the house for some work on a bike with one of his companions from the village on Wednesday evening. According to people, Akhilesh asked the accomplice to stop the bike on the bridge. By the time the partner could understand something, Akhilesh jumped into the river by giving mobile and purse.
On knowing about the drowning of Akhilesh in the river, people gathered around. While Inspector Kapildev Chowdhary and Chowki Incharge Jitendra Kumar Yadav reached the spot along with the police personnel. Police along with local divers are looking for the man.
SDM Gajendra Singh, CO Anshuman Srivastava took stock on Thursday. On knowing about Akhilesh’s drowning in the river, the family members are afraid of something untoward. As of now there is no trace of him anywhere.
Wife Anju Devi is in bad condition by crying. At the same time sons Akash and Mukesh are also inconsolable. CO Anshuman Srivastava told that the person who jumped into the river is being searched. Is being investigated.
