  • 1 kg curd
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 8-10 almonds
  • 8-10 cashew nuts
  • 5-6 pistachios
  • half teaspoon saffron
  • Sugar

Easy way to make Shrikhand

To make Shrikhand, first remove all the water from one kilo of curd. You can also use hung curd. To remove the curd water, put a muslin cloth in the strainer. Now put the sieve over a vessel. Put curd on top of this cloth. Gather the cloth from all the four ends and tie it tightly. Due to this the water of curd will come out. After this, hang this cloth tied with curd on a high place for 6-7 hours. Due to this the water of curd will come out completely.

Now take out the curd in a vessel and whisk it well for 3-4 minutes. After this, add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron to the curd and mix well. Whisk until the lumps formed in Shrikhand are removed. After this add finely chopped almonds, cashews and pistachios to the Shrikhand. Mix it well.
