- While apologizing to the Lord, chant the following mantra –

- Om Shri Vishnave Namah. Apologies and surrender.
- Feed cows, brahmins and girls.
- After this, break the fast by consuming the food offered on the day of Ekadashi. Before this, keep basil leaves in your mouth.
- Rice must be eaten while breaking the fast of Devuthani Ekadashi.
