The politics of Mainpuri has once again brought Dharmendra Yadav, nephew of Mulayam Singh Yadav and MP from Azamgarh seat, to the crossroads. After seven years, Dharmendra Yadav is again in trouble. The reason for this is Karhal by-election. On one hand, nephew Tej Pratap Yadav is the candidate from SP, while his brother-in-law Anujesh Yadav will contest from BJP. Now all eyes are on Dharmendra’s decision. However, no response has been received till now.

Dharmendra Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger brother Abhayram Yadav, is MP from Azamgarh. He became MP for the first time in the by-election held in 2004 after Mulayam’s resignation from Mainpuri seat. After this he became MP from Badaun and then Azamgarh. In 2015, the first daughter of the Saifai family entered politics from Mainpuri. This daughter was none other than Mulayam Singh Yadav’s niece and Dharmendra Yadav’s sister Sandhya alias Baby Yadav. She was elected District Panchayat President with the support of SP.
