Dia Mirza terrifying times in Bollywood during 2000s actress feel pressure

Dia Mirza News: Actress Dia Mirza was recently seen in ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’. Dia Mirza is a popular star of the industry. However, she has struggled a lot in the industry. Recently she talked about the era of 2000.

Diya Mirza was scared
In an interview with Times of India, Dia Mirza recalled the time when she came to Bollywood and some of her films did not do well.

Dia said- ‘I was sad, I was scared. I was full of fear because this is what was instilled in us through the media and the industry. If you are a woman, you have a shelf life. You are in your 20s. You will not be cast with any stars. Male superstars want you to be of a certain age. You have to look like this. You have to be of a certain weight. Any single actress who comes to the industry in her 20s is told that you should weigh this much. You should be single.’

Has the industry taken a 360 degree turn now? On this the actress said- ‘Yes, I think people have now realized that this is a job. It is not your whole identity. It is one of the things that we do. It is not everything. Yes, we are passionate about it. Yes, we love what we are doing. But it cannot control our existence. It cannot define the things we choose whether to become a parent or not, whether to get married or not.’

‘My question is how can a job control everything about you? But this is the reality of every woman in the workplace. I know how a woman is struggling with all this. People don’t hire women who are about to get married.’
