There was a time when diamonds used to come from inside the earth. But now it is being prepared in the lab also. However, preparing diamonds in the lab is not so easy. This requires a lot of energy. This is the reason why even today most diamonds are extracted from underground mines. But Chinese scientists have done wonders by making a diamond from a flower. Let us tell you what is the whole story.
How Chinese scientists did this
Chinese scientists discovered a special red color plant named Peony. Created history by making a three-carat diamond from a flower. Let us tell you, this flower was once the national flower of China. This three-carat diamond has been unveiled in Luoyang, Henan province of China. Let us tell you, to make it, Chinese scientists had used carbon elements of peony flower. After making the diamond, it was donated to Luoyang National Peony Garden by Luoyang Time Promise Company.
What is the price of this diamond?
This diamond Talking about its price, it is around 3 lakh yuan. This will be around Rs 34.53 lakh in Indian rupees. While talking to Chinese media, Wang Jing, CEO of Luoyang Time Promise Company, which manufactured it, said that it has been prepared with our biogenic carbon extraction technology. He said that the technology used to convert flowers into diamonds is very complex.
Lab diamonds are being sold in the market
< p>In the last few years, lab-grown diamonds are being sold at a high price in the market. In fact, these diamonds also contain the same chemical compounds as naturally occurring diamonds. The diamonds which are prepared in the lab are made in two ways. The first method is high pressure high temperature (HPTP) and the second method is chemical vapor deposition (CVD). It takes about 2 months to prepare a diamond in the lab.
