FSSAI has said that food business operators should deliver only those food items to consumers whose shelf life i.e. expiry date is at least 45 days. Do not deliver if the expiry date is less than 45 days left. Apart from this, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India said that food business operators should follow labeling and display rules.
