Do Patti Movie Review: Kajol-Kriti’s ‘Do Patti’ stuck in the middle of a weak story

Kajol and Kriti Sanon’s film ‘Do Patti’ has been released on Netflix today. After watching the trailer of this film, it seemed that something new would be seen in the film, but it did not live up to those expectations. The story of the film is such that as soon as you see it, you understand that it has been presented to you by combining many old stories. Kajol has also disappointed with her character. She could not play the role of a police officer in a way that would have impressed her.

So, first of all let us tell you the story of what kind of film? Actually, this is a story based on two twin sisters, Saumya Sood and Shaili Sood. You will see Kriti Sanon in the role of both of them. Along with acting, Kriti has also produced this film with Kanika Singh Dhillon. The story of the film shows the conflict between Soumya and Shelley over their love. Where both their lives are ruined.

Both the sisters are quite different from each other. One is calm and the other is vicious. Dhruv Sood gets trapped between these two sisters, in whose role you will see Shaheer Sheikh. After all, what happens between Saumya, Shaili and Shaheer Sheikh that the matter reaches the police officer Vidya Jyoti, played by Kajol. As mentioned earlier, Kajol is not fitting into the role of a police officer in the film.

Kajol’s dialogue delivery is such that it seems artificial. Kajol needed to practice a little more for this role. Today many people have played such roles in web series, but there seems to be something missing in the role played by Kajol. Talking about Kriti Sanon, you will definitely like her acting, but she is suffering somewhere in the double role. Kriti looks similar in both the roles.

Talking about direction, many shortcomings of Shashank Chaturvedi are visible. If they wanted, they could have made the first part more interesting, because in the first part the film seems quite slow in its pace, but by the second part it picks up its pace. Also, some scenes have been forced into the film, which makes the film a bit boring. If you want to pass time then you can watch it once. The film is 1.5 stars from my side.
