One such market in Old Delhi is the only market in the world which is filled with wholesalers and retailers making only wedding cards.
While talking to Local18, Ajay, who has been working in this market for 12 years, said that this is the largest wedding card making market in Asia. He said that this is a market where only wedding cards are made, which you will not see anywhere in the world. Therefore this is a unique market in itself. He said that in many countries, wedding cards and related items and papers are sent from here.
300 years old market
Dipankar Jain, who has been running the shop for 15 years, said that this market is considered to be from the Mughal era. Wedding cards and related items are being made in this market for almost 300 years. He further told that in earlier times, when there used to be kings and emperors, even then the metal on which kings and emperors used to write letters and send them was made in this market.
1 rupee card is made in
Nitin, has been working for almost 10 years. He said that in this market a card can be made for even Rs 1. If you want the most expensive card, there is no limit. He told that at present the demand for cards with ribbon, cards with photo of bride and groom, cards with modification and designer cards is very high.

To reach this market, one will have to get down at Chawri Bazaar metro station from the Yellow Metro Line. As soon as you come out of Gate No. 2, you will find this market at a short distance. This market is open seven days a week. You can come here anytime from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
