Satna : A strange prescription of Doctor Amit Soni at Nagaud Community Health Center in Satna district of MP is going viral. The doctor wrote the names of medicines on the OPD slip after examining a patient, but when the patient brought that prescription to the medicine center, the person giving the prescription himself could not understand the handwriting of the prescription. After this, when he came out to the medical store with the prescription, the person giving the prescription refused to give the medicine after looking at the prescription.
Confusion over handwriting of slip
The patient also went to a private medical store with the prescription, but the medicine was not available there either. The medical store operator read the prescription several times after looking at the handwriting on the prescription, but he could not understand it. After this, the prescription was shared on social media, where people gave different reactions.
When the Local 18 team talked to the locals, they, on the condition of anonymity, alleged that doctors sitting in government hospitals prescribe medicines from private medical stores, which earns them commission. If a patient insists on getting medicine from inside the hospital, then such prescriptions with unknown handwriting are made.
CMHO ordered an inquiry
On this matter, the Chief Medical and Health Officer of the district, L.K. Tiwari said that a notice has been issued against Dr. Amit Soni. He said that complaints have been received regarding the handwriting of the prescription and a reply has been sought from the doctor. Appropriate action will be taken after the reply is received. Also, an investigation will be conducted regarding the operation of private clinics and medicines of medical stores.
doctor’s clarification
When the Local 18 team contacted Dr. Amit Soni, he told that the prescription was not for medicines but a list of tests like CBC, LFT etc. He called the whole matter a conspiracy of some people and said that the prescription of medicines is taken out after giving the medicine. He had given this prescription to Arvind (the sick person), but instead of going to the test center, he went to the medical store to get medicines, which was difficult to understand.
The team of Local 18 went to the medical store and checked the slip, but it was not possible for anyone to read the slip. A few days ago, in another case, the CMHO of Satna had also investigated the connection between the slip and Praveen Medical Store. The owner of Praveen Medical told that the slip first went to Krishna Medical Store, from where the whole game started and some opponents made it a big issue, although they too had denied being able to read the slip.
