PM Modi Dominica honour: The government of Dominica has decided to honor Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping his country during the Covid-19 pandemic and to strengthen relations between the two countries. For this, Dominica’s highest national award, “Dominica Award of Honor”, will be given to PM Modi.
Dominica’s Prime Minister’s Office has said in its statement that this award will be given as a mark of gratitude for the Indian support received by Dominica during the Covid-19 pandemic and as a symbol of the growing partnership between the two countries.

India’s contribution and vaccine diplomacy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi The Government of Dominica provided 70,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Dominica during the COVID-19 response in February 2021. This supply of vaccine was made under India’s “Vaccine Maitri” policy, which was aimed at helping developing countries fight the pandemic.
Awards Ceremony at India-CARICOM Summit
Dominican President Sylvany Berton will present this honor to PM Modi during the upcoming India-CARICOM (Caribbean Community) summit. This summit will be held in Georgetown, Guyana between 19 and 21 November. On this occasion, further strengthening of relations between India and Caribbean countries will be considered.
