Elderly Rajrani (64) and daughter Ginni Karar (30) were murdered on the night of May 25 in Krishna Nagar area of Shahdara district. During the investigation, the police found two people entering the house that night captured in CCTV cameras. After spending about 30 minutes in the house, the accused come out from the main gate itself.
Both the accused are also seen in a hurry. There was an automatic lock on both the doors of Rajrani. They lock without the push of the key. In such a situation, the accused fled after locking the doors of the house after committing the crime. Police officers probing the case say that one of the two accused has been identified.
Apart from Delhi, the police is conducting raids in Lucknow in search of the accused. After the murder, the mobiles of the elderly woman and her daughter have also been found missing. What else was looted from the house, its investigation is on. It is not yet clear whether the murder was committed for robbery or property dispute.
Senior police officer of the district told that the elderly Rajrani had retired from Akashvani. Her husband Hiralal was working in the Ministry of Parliamentary Office. He had separated from Rajrani after getting a divorce. He had died a long time ago. Apart from Ginni, Rajrani has two married daughters, Lata and Vandana. Both live with their families in Gandhi Nagar and Indirapuram.
Rajrani lived with her daughter Ginni in her 200 yards flat in Krishna Nagar. During the investigation, the police came to know that Rajrani did not have cordial relations with both the married daughters. She had little in common with her daughters. There was also a dispute with his daughters regarding property. The police is probing the matter after interrogating the relatives.
