World Down Syndrome Day: Every year on 21 March, Down Syndrome Day is celebrated all over the world. Actually, it is a genetic disease. Children with Down syndrome are different from normal children. Actually, the main reason behind this is disturbance in the chromosomes.

What is Down Syndrome?
Actually, Down syndrome is a genetic disorder. This happens due to disturbances in chromosomes. In the case of Down syndrome, the child has an extra chromosome. In colloquial language, the number of chromosomes in a normal child is 46. That means 23 from mother and 23 from father. The number of chromosomes in children suffering from Down syndrome is 47. In medical language it is called Down syndrome. It is also called Tysomy. In this disease the child’s brain is most affected. That means the child’s brain does not develop properly. One in 1000 children has the possibility of getting this disease.
What are the symptoms of Down syndrome?
Symptoms of Down syndrome are different in every person. Different people may have different problems.
Children suffering from this disease have flat face, flattened body, eyes slanted upwards, short neck, small hands and feet, shaped or small ears, small hands, small fingers and small hands and feet, short height, different Nose design.
There can be many reasons for Down syndrome, but some reports have revealed that this disease occurs due to this reason.
Deafness, sleep apnea i.e. stopping breathing during sleep, ear infection, eye disease, genetic heart disease, constipation, spinal pain, obesity etc. can be the reasons for this.
