Actually, the Government of India had banned the export of onion on 8 December 2023. So that onion can be available to the people of the country at low prices. According to Pakistanis, the reason for the rising price of onion in their country is the ban imposed by India.
At what price are onions available in Pakistan?
Similarly, the people of Pakistan are fed up with the continuously increasing inflation for some time. On top of that, the rising prices of onion have made him lose his temper. In fact, onion prices in the country have increased from Rs 150 per kg to Rs 270 in the last one month. Which is 80 rupees in Indian rupees.
Pakistan does not buy onion from India
Now the thing to think about is that when there is no export of onion from India to Pakistan, then how is India responsible for the rising onion prices in Pakistan. So, let us tell you that ever since the Government of India has imposed a ban on its export in order to make onion available to the people of the country at low prices, the prices of onion have increased in foreign markets. After which Pakistan has received huge orders for onions from exports.
Due to getting good prices, Pakistan’s onions are being sold abroad. Due to which the people of Pakistan are getting onions at expensive prices.
