On the occasion of World Earth Day, there will be a gathering of well-known environmental warriors and social workers of the country at the Prithvi Sammelan, to be held on Sunday at Malviya Bhavan, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. The conference will be inaugurated by Padma Shri Raja Laxman Singh Lapodia.
Giving information about the event, environmentalist Gyanendra Rawat said that eminent environmentalist Sunder Lal Bahuguna Memorial National Award, Anupam Mishra Memorial National Award and Eminent saint-seeker, social worker Baba Amte Smriti will be honored with National Award, Environment Pride and Tree Friend Award.
According to conference coordinator Green India Foundation Trust Dr. Jagdish Chowdhary and general secretary of Nav Prabhat Jan Seva Sansthan Mr. Rajkumar Dubey, coordinator of Apna Talab Yojana in Bundelkhand Pushpendra Singh, Pankaj Malviya of Pani Re Pani Abhiyan Bihar and others were honored in the conference.
