According to sources, Shahjahan Sheikh was present at his house during the ED raid, but after the attack on the team, he is absconding along with his family.

Actually, due to elections in Bangladesh, there is strict vigil on the border of BSF and BDR and apart from this, BSF has also been alerted about Shahjahan. Therefore, the central investigating agencies believe that Shahjahan and his family are hiding in West Bengal.

On Friday (January 5), the ED team had reached Sandeshkhali village of North 24 Parganas district to raid the house of TMC leader SK Shahjahan Sheikh in the ration scam case. Then about 200 people came there and attacked the ED team. The mob also vandalized the vehicles of the central security forces accompanying the ED officers. The assistant director of ED was also included in the team. The ED team members injured in the attack were transferred to a local hospital in Kolkata.
TMC leader raised questions on BJP leader
On this attack, TMC MP Shantanu Sen had said on Friday, “The officials of the Central Investigation Agency, surrounded by the central forces, instigated the local people, hence there were continuous counter reactions. The fact is that the people of India are getting ready every day from Delhi. Wali is disappointed to see such a deep conspiracy. Something similar is happening in the case of TMC in West Bengal. On the contrary, the person who is posting all this on social media is on the top of the corruption list. He was found taking money in front. There are allegations of corruption against other members of his family, but no action was taken against them because they are from BJP.”
