eid 2024 release akshay kumar ajay devgn prithviraj sukumaran bade miyan chote miyan maidaan Aadujeevitham clash

Box Office Clash: This time Eid is falling on 9th April. In such a situation, on this day a big film of South and two big films of Bollywood are going to clash with each other in theatres. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s action film ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’, Ajay Devgan’s ‘Maidan’ are being released on the occasion of Eid. Besides, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Aadu Jeevitam (The Goat Life)’ is also being released.

Talking about ‘Aadu Jeevitam (The Goat Life)’, it took 14 years to make this film. Therefore, this film is expected to do something historic. So in such a situation, there is going to be a fight due to these 4 big films being on the screen together. Let us tell you that Junior NTR’s ‘Devra’ was also going to be released on the occasion of Eid, but due to some reasons it has been postponed.

Why are these films being released only on Eid?
What are the reasons for a film to work? The first reason is obviously how the film is. The second reason is what is the star cast of the film and the third reason is on which day the film is being released. Here we have mentioned it as the third reason, but in reality this reason is the biggest reason. Many films which have failed at the box office have also spent a large part of their budget in the beginning because of this third reason.

Now if we talk about the special days of release of films in India, then these days are- Diwali, Eid, Republic Day And Independence Day. Pongal is also a special period in the South Industry when big films are released there. This is the reason why the makers of these 3 big films are releasing them on the occasion of Eid.

Film makers are trying to capitalize on this special day by keeping history in mind.

Chances of films becoming hits increase on the occasion of Eid.
If we look at the history of films released on the day of Eid, the biggest name that emerges first is Salman Khan. The second innings of Salman Khan’s superstardom started from Eid, when his ‘Wanted’ was released on the occasion of Eid in 2009. This film made him a wanted actor of Bollywood. After this, in the coming years, his films like Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ek Tha Tiger, Kick, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan were also released on the occasion of Eid. And these are the films which were blockbusters. Similarly, Shahrukh’s films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Chennai Express, Don have also created a stir by releasing on the occasion of Eid. Akshay Kumar’s hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa was also released on the occasion of Eid in 2007. All these films have been hits.

Even if the film is not a hit, the film takes out a large part of the budget.
The films released on this special occasion have also been rejected by the audience many times. Films have also flopped. But the makers also know that even if the films flop, they earn decent money in the initial days due to their release on this occasion. For example, Salman’s films like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Bharat, Tubelight and Race 3 can be kept in this list. Even though their total box office collection may not have been enough to include them in the list of superhit films, yet the first day collection of these films has been either around 40 crores or even above. This is the reason why no one wants to miss this opportunity this year.

Clash between Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan and Prithviraj Sukumaran
These three names are big. All three have their own identity. In such a situation, it will be very interesting to see whose film does what wonders. Where two action heroes like Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are going to come together in the same film and give a strong dose of action. Whereas Ajay Devgan’s Maidan is a much anticipated film. This film is a biographical sports drama based on the golden era of Indian football in India.

Similarly, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Malayalam film ‘Aadu Jeevitam (The Goat Life)’ is also very special, because it took 14 years to make this film. This film is based on survival. The film is based on Benjamin’s 2008 Malayalam novel Aadu Jeevitam. In this film based on a true incident, Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the role of a laborer who works as a shepherd like a slave in Saudi Arabia. There is a lot of hype about the film, so it is possible that this film will overshadow the films of Akshay and Ajay Devgan.

However, it has been seen many times that despite many films being released simultaneously, they have managed to satisfy their respective audiences. From recently released films like Gadar 2 and Oh My God to 2012’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar, they were also released on the same day and had good collections.
