Eid Ul Fitr 2024 Date: Australia has officially announced that the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday (10 April 2024). With this announcement by Australia, it has been decided that the month of Shawwal will start from 10th April and 9th April 2024 will be the last day of Ramadan.

The Australian Fatwa Council has confirmed that the new moon will rise on Tuesday (April 9, 2024). It can be seen in Perth and Sydney. According to the Australian Fatwa Council, April 9 will be the last day of Ramadan and the festival of Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday (April 10, 2024).

Eid ul-Fitr will be held on 10th April
The Fatwa Council said that the date of Eid al-Fitr is based on the calculation of the rising of the moon before sunset, the time of setting of the moon after sunset and the probability of sighting of the moon. He said that this approach is in line with the approaches adopted by the Council of many leading global scholars.

However, the Australian National Imams Council and the Australian Fatwa Council emphasize unity in preserving values ​​and interests while recognizing and respecting differing views within the Muslim community.

Just before Eid ul-Fitr, there has been an increase in activity in the markets across the world. People of Muslim community are going to the market in large numbers for shopping. After the end of the month of Ramadan, the festival of Eid will be celebrated this week. People of the Muslim community all over the world have started preparations for the festival.

During this time, crowd of people is being seen in shops selling bakery, sweets, food items as well as clothes etc. Everything from clothes for children and elders to items used for making vermicelli are being purchased.
