Address can be changed easily
Voter card contains all the information like your name, date of birth and address. If there is a problem with anything, now you can fix it online sitting at home. People living in rented houses often have to change their houses, in such a situation only their old address remains on the voter card. Many such people can easily update their new address in the voter card.
This is the complete process
First of all you have to go to the National Voter Service Portal voters.eci.gov.in. After this, a page will open in front of you, in which the option of correction and shifting residence will be visible.
- After clicking on this page, you will have to login by entering your mobile number and password.
- After entering the OTP, you will be asked to fill Form 8. You will have to click on the Self and Family option and enter the EPIC number.
- You will have to fill all types of information in Form-8. In this, Aadhaar number, mobile number, e-mail and new address will have to be filled.
- To update the new address, you will also have to upload an address proof. In which there may be electricity bill or agreement.
- After submitting the form, the reference number will be sent to your phone number and e-mail. After a few days, you can download your digital voter card, which will have the new address.
