Elections 2024: 19 well-known personalities of the country joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on September 11, 2024. Former ambassadors and Major Generals are also among those who became part of the BJP. All 19 people were given party membership during the membership drive at the residence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
While sharing the picture of 19 people who joined BJP on X, Hardeep Singh Puri wrote, “The party ideology family is expanding, countrymen are walking on the path of nation’s progress, nationalists are joining BJP!” He further said through the same post, “Under the fast paced BJP membership campaign, the number of people joining BJP has crossed two crore in just eight days.”
According to the Union Minister, “Inspired by the widespread changes taking place in the country due to the revolutionary decisions of PM Narendra Modi, 19 eminent personalities of the country joined the BJP in the membership campaign program organized at my official residence today. With the joining of all these eminent people of the society, the party will become stronger and the journey towards developed India will gain momentum.”
