These five uncapped players got a place
England has included five uncapped players in the team while excluding some star players. These five players include batting all-rounder Jacob Bethell, Dan Mousley, batsman Jordan Cox, bowler John Turner and Josh Hull. Josh Hull, Jacob Bethell and John Turner are also part of the ODI team.
Let us tell you that these days England is hosting Sri Lanka for a three-match Test series. The English team has won the first Test of the series. This Test series will conclude on September 10 and the next day i.e. from September 11, the T20 series against Australia will begin.
Is increasing age becoming a problem for Bairstow and Moeen Ali?
The increasing age of players like Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali is now becoming a problem for them. Due to increasing age, these players are seen losing their place in the team. Apart from Bairstow and Moeen Ali, fast bowler Chris Jordan has also been left out of the team. However, it was not made clear by England why these players did not get a place in the team.
