Material

Normal dumplings

1 cup gram flour
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1 pinch asafoetida
Salt to taste
Water (as required)
Oil for frying

Mix Veg Pakoras

with the above material
1/2 onion (finely chopped)
1/2 potato (finely chopped)
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
1/4 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)

1. Prepare the batter, add gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add water little by little and make a thick batter. The batter should neither be too thin nor too thick.

2. If you are making mixed veg pakoras, then mix onion, potato, green chilli and green coriander well in the batter.

3. Now heat oil in a pan. To check the heat of the oil, drop a little batter in it. If the batter rises immediately, then understand that the oil is hot. Now with a spoon or your hands, drop a little batter in the oil and fry till golden brown and crispy. Take out the pakoras on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.

4. After this, enjoy hot gram flour pakodas with your favorite chutney, curd or tea.

You can increase or decrease the amount of chili powder according to your preference. You can also add a little ginger-garlic paste to the batter for taste. To make the pakoras even tastier, you can keep them in the fridge for 30 minutes before frying. If you want, you can also temper them by adding curry leaves, cumin seeds and mustard seeds to the oil. Gram flour pakoras are loved by children and adults alike. This is a quick and easy snack.
