In the encounter, Vaidpura police arrested the criminal carrying a reward of Rs 10,000. During the encounter, Vaidpura police station incharge Vipin Kumar was shot in his elbow and jacket. The criminal was shot in the leg. Both have been treated in the district hospital. Vaidpura police station was checking vehicles at Kheda Canal Bridge Tiraha on Monday. During this time a bike was seen coming from village Vaidpura intersection. When the police team signaled him to stop, the bike rider started running towards Mahola Jail Road. A siege was laid on it. Seeing himself surrounded, the accused fired three rounds at the police team.
