Chandragupta Maurya was inclined towards Jainism in his last days. In his last moments, he handed over the throne to Bindusara. After which he took initiation from Jainacharya Bhadrabahu and went with him to Shravanabelagola. After which he sacrificed his life on Chandragiri hill around 300 BC.
