Even the tiger changes its path due to fear of this innocent looking animal! Guinness book also recognizes him as a fearless creature.

Srijit Awasthi / Pilibhit. Whenever there is mention of ferocious and fearless animals, big wild animals like lion, tiger, bear always come to our mind. But the truth is completely opposite. There is a fearless animal in the forest which looks very innocent. But its anger is such that if even a tiger sees it, it changes its path. The special thing is that this wildlife is found in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve located in the Terai region.

The lion is considered the king of the jungle but the Bengal tiger is stronger than the lion. But even such a powerful wildlife is afraid of a creature that looks innocent and is many times smaller than its body. We are talking about none other than the Honey Badger. Honey badger is colloquially called Bijju or Grave Bjarju. The name of this rare wildlife is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as “Most Fearless Creature”.

Honey badger is very ferocious and intelligent
It is believed that apart from being fearless, it is also quite ferocious and intelligent. Its sharp teeth and nails make it more dangerous. There has been a rapid decline in its numbers in the last few years. In such a situation, it is being protected by keeping it in the category of extinct wildlife. But honey badgers are often seen in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, world famous for biodiversity.

Honey badger has the ability to think and understand like humans
Hearing the roar of a tiger, good people start sweating. But the honey badger is so fierce in the jungle that even the tiger who makes everyone sweat is hesitant in confronting it. Actually, Honey Badger, besides being fearless, has the ability to think and understand like humans. Its nails are up to 1.5 inches long. Its bite force is so high that once it grabs hold of something, it is very difficult to free it. It is a nocturnal creature, so it comes out for hunting only at night.

hunting stories
You might have heard mention of honey badger as grave badger. There is a misconception about this that it digs graves and eats dead bodies. But no solid evidence of this has emerged yet. Experts say that all these misconceptions have been spread so that people can be easily hunted by scaring them from this creature. After hunting, honey badger is used for its skin, cosmetics etc. ICUN has also included the Honey Badger in its red list considering it to be extinct.
