In many countries of the world, such strange graves have been found in many places which people call vampire’s graves. But this has never been seen in the premises of any church. A church in northern Poland made a surprising discovery when a “vampire tomb” was found buried beneath the floor. Archaeologists say that this is the first discovery of its kind because burying a vampire in a church is virtually unheard of. This is what is surprising the researchers.
He first discovered a stone slab decorated with carvings of a skull in the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the small village of Pacjevo. According to the Daily Mail report, upon further excavation they found the skeletal remains of a man from the 17th century. At the time of death the man would have been around 50 years old and was buried six feet below the slab.
The skeleton had a sickle around its neck, indicating that it was believed to be a vampire. Notably, sickle binding is a medieval practice that was designed to prevent vampires from returning from the dead. Two other skeletons were also found at the same place, but they did not have sickles around their necks.

Anthropologist Justina Kargas said the skull showed the man had suffered multiple injuries and some form of trauma before his death. Kargas says that this is probably why he appeared different from others. “He may look different from other people and that can be scary,”
Archaeologists were most surprised by the fact that this discovery was made in a church, which they say had never happened before. “Nobody expects to find a vampire in a church,” he said, speculating that the man might have been someone who fit the bill for a dignitary and “for some reason they were scared of him.”
