Rahul Manohar/Sikar. The price of vegetables has spoiled the kitchen budget these days. The price of vegetables has been increasing continuously for the last one month. If it does not rain, then the price of vegetables is likely to increase further in the coming days. The price has increased so much that it is becoming difficult for low-income families to buy and eat green vegetables.
The situation is that the tomato which was available for 50-60 rupees per kg 20 days ago is available for 100 rupees per kg today. On the other hand, the price of local cluster beans has gone up to 180-200 rupees. Cauliflower is being bought for 100 rupees per kg, arbi for 80 rupees per kg, ladyfinger for 40-80 rupees per kg, ridge gourd for 100 rupees per kg, green chilli for 60-80 rupees per kg, cucumber for 45 rupees per kg, tinda for 20 rupees per kg, bitter gourd for 40 rupees per kg, ginger for 100 rupees per kg, bottle gourd for 30 rupees per kg, potato for 30 rupees per kg, onion for 50 rupees, cabbage for 40-60 rupees per kg. The prices of vegetables have been increasing for the past month. The price of tomato has increased the most. The rest of the vegetables have increased by 20-30 rupees.

Vegetables coming from different districts
Vegetable seller Deepak Meena says that due to excessive heat, vegetable crops have been destroyed. Also, it will take time for the new crop to arrive. Due to less vegetables coming to the market, prices are increasing. If it rains, the prices of vegetables will fall. If it does not rain, there is a possibility of further increase in prices. Vegetable seller Deepak Meena says that due to lack of vegetables in the market these days, prices are rising. Currently, vegetables are coming from outside including Ajmer, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaipur. Prices are increasing continuously for the last one month.
