Farah Khan News: Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan once revealed that she had rejected a producer’s offer. That producer had offered Farah Rs 10 crore to cast his son in ‘Happy New Year’. Farah had recalled that incident in an interview with standup comedian Zakir Khan. When he decided to cast Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah’s son Vivaan Shah instead of the producer’s son.
Farah Khan had said this
He told, ‘You won’t believe it, but during Happy New Year, a producer had offered me Rs 10 crore to cast his son. Being the ‘Queen of Jhansi’ I said, ‘I will never do this.’ I will not do injustice to the film. What if Shahrukh comes to know that I have taken Rs 10 crore to cast him in the film? Never, I will not do that. I cast Vivaan Shah because I felt he was the right person for the character and the film.
Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani acted in Farah Khan’s film ‘Happy New Year’. That action-comedy became one of the highest-grossing films of the year. This film is Farah’s last film as a director.
Farah Khan has directed four films in her career, three of which are Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year. Shahrukh Khan Is in the lead role. All three films are among the biggest hits of the careers of both Farah and Shahrukh.
Earlier, on Shah Rukh’s 59th birthday, Farah Khan shared a series of old photos with the actor and wrote, ‘Some old pictures… Lots of happy memories and more to make… Happy Birthday Shahrukh.’ Meanwhile, Farah Khan is collaborating with Salman Khan to create a high-energy track for the actor’s upcoming film ‘Sikander’.
